Dre Marie Ammerlaan
Family doctor with a specialization in perinatal care
Dr. Marie Ammerlaan is a general practitioner who is trained to assist women give birth at the delivery room. During her training, she noticed that an important proportion of women arrived at the hospital afraid of what was coming ahead. These fears and apprehensions impacted the course of the birth of these babies. She decided to direct her practice in response to this need. Combining two passions, she offers her services in maternal psychiatry. Dre Ammerlaan did her residency at the Université de Sherbrooke and the Université de Montréal. She also has a diploma in Logotherapy and Existential Analysis from the Ottawa Institute Of Logotherapy. Her goal as a family physician is to integrate physical, mental, emotional and spiritual wellbeing in all aspects of health. She helps families maintain balance as a preventive way to remain healthy.
